support1 thank you for the explanation but I know how a cooling system works. but with full respect, no one implements a function with “certain margin of error” and so on. this is not specification. a program is deterministic and if you specify to stop the fan below 30C, and you also specify which sensors you check for that, you can disable the fan. the remaining heat and others is just a tale for the masses. and please, if I assume about you, dear support that you have the technical knowledge, why do you assume that I don’t know what I am talking about?
support1 the question is and was very simple from the beginning, and I would like to have an answer for this for weeks now:
can you please implement that function that I can decide and set at which temperature I would like to turn off/on the fan, and align the cooling curve to these set values? this function works for ser5 bios…
answer is simple:
1) you can implement it, and will implement it in the future - thanks for that
2) you could but don’t want to implement this because you don’t want to invest resources in them
3) you cannot implement it because you don’t have the necessary knowledge
can you please give me an answer on this?
mrc 1) it never turns off, 2) that TDP is the factory value and doesn’t change with profile. try HWINFO64, “Sensors-only” and “CPU Package Power”, which under load shows the correct value.
