Beelink SER9 vs External GPU

Hi there, I just bought my Beelink SER9 a week ago.

I notice that the product has a USB4 slot (40 Gbps) on the back side but I am not sure that it is a thunderbolt slot since it doesn’t have a lighting symbol. So, please could You confirm whether my Beelink SER9 can be connected with external GPU card and if yes, what’s the thing to consider? I wil appreciate your detailed response with regard to this question as I am a new user of this product.

Thank for your response. To which USB 4.0 port, external GPU should be connected? The rear USB 4.0 port or the front one or eGPU can be connected to both ports?

only the USB4 on the rear next to the DC port should be connected with Egpu.

Hey, I’ve just bought SER9 with AI HX 370 and tried my eGPU Razer Core X Chroma + GeForce 3080, everything seemed fine except with eGPU connected it BSODs after 10-15 minutes of eGPU being used(started a game or video decoding).
PCI-E error in Event Viewer

Windows Event Viewer recorded STOP-error 0×00000124 (0×0000000000000004, 0xffffe50a0412e028, 0×0000000000000000, 0×0000000000000000).

I’ve updated Windows 11 to the latest versions and allowed windows autoupdate to update drivers to the latest version but nothing seem to help. Checked your downloads page for any downloads or bios updates but it doesn’t even list this model yet. At first I thought it might be an overheating issue so installed HWiNFO 64 to check temps while running game but they look ok, also I’ve tried to run same tasks with no eGPU(on internal GPU) and could normally use the device, no issues at all.

Is this a known error? Is it planned to be fixed or is it a hardware issue and I should request a replacement?
If you need more info on this or dump files(they are 3-4 Mb each), please let me know.

Edit 1: My current BIOS version SER9.V103.P8C0M0C15.55 and I’ve found out that you post bios updates in News/Blog section, would be great to be able to find them also in Downloads section. My device SN starts with Y and it seems there are a BIOS update for my cause in January BIOS update(https://www.bee-link.com/blogs/all/bios-update). The version I need is “V103.P8C0M0C15.68” which says “Resolved blue screen issue when connecting the dock and eGPU, optimized Linux system compatibility”. I’ll give it a try once I get an empty flash drive.

Edit 2: I’ve done everything by instruction(it didn’t require any command inputs and completed everything automatically), I was able to flash my BIOS with forementioned update and it looks like everything works fine now. I’ve tried same tasks as I performed before and having no BSODs, so it actually fixed the issue. With this setup I can run DOOM(2016) on 1440p with Ultra settings and getting 175-200 FPS.

Please send us a picture of SN number and BIOS version.
