Bought a SER8 8845. It came with win 11 pro saw it by name as I went through setup. Did windows updates except for 24H2. It activated as soon as I accessed my Microsoft account with a digital license. Didn’t particularly notice if it said Home or Pro after that I just saw that it showed as active. One of the updates apparently enabled sleep mode after I left it inactive for a relatively short time. It locked up couldn’t get out except by hitting power button. Never went to sleep before. Anyway, later I noticed on system page that it said I was running Win 11 Home. Digital license is tied to Microsoft account but can’t be read so don’t know if it says windows Pro or not. Suspect power glitch may have caused Windows to reinstall as home. Don’t know what version is really installed, don’t know what files are different between versions. Assumed it would be virtualization or bitlocker but both of those are now included on home version. My windows 10 home version computer now has them too. Microsoft spent a couple of hours remotely messing with it, never called back. Rebooted and now my clock is off by 2 hours and the normal windows home page is now set with task bar to left of screen and start menu where 10’s was. Afraid to try to rest windows as I don’t whether the license key determines what version runs no matter what’s installed or the other way around. Microsoft loves to hide all useful information. So far I’m highly impressed with your mini, small, quiet, quick. Only weak point may be wifi as youtube shorts will sometimes start playing audio from next short and stayed locked visually on previous vid. But that may be youtube. Microsoft fails to impress 11 s just 10 dressed up slightly with hardware requirements that makes me have to upgrade my perfectly good 10 year old computer. It’s only sin is it stil works quite well and doesn’t make microsoft any money. Anyway, any help you can give me will be much appreciated any tips on what to look for to see which version is loaded or what to do also appreciated. Model SER8-L-321TBV0W64PRODP/XA.
