12S N-95 only 1280P

All the Intel video drivers are forcing wrong resolution for my intended workroom 1080P Insignia monitor. Went thru HDMI cables, and HDMI ports same issue. The 12S does work properly on two other monitors.

My Nvidia card does work fine with the Insignia, what’s wrong with the Intel drivers?

A search on the WEB shows that I’m not alone with the resolution problem. If I disable the video driver then I get my native 1080P. Unfortunately I now loose the sleep function and whatever else not tested yet.

And my second 12S Pro is the same, begins boot at 1080p then switches to 1280P after system fully starts.

Hi there,

Please go to device manager and uninstall the graphic driver, then install the new one.

BTW Intel downloaded a scanner and found a newer driver and installed. Drum roll…

LOL.. Intel does not support my hardware. Somehow my NVidia(s) works just fine if I switch boxes. List of resolutions no longer provided so still running on MS generic driver at 1080P.

No thanks, Ill just send it back to Amazon and shop something with Nvidia. Shame, unless you have custom driver, I sure don’t expect Intel to fix it. I have Sony in the back that blows up with ANY AMD video codecs but again works fine with NVidia. LOL, just an evil way to force me to throw away older gear that works fine 🙂
