Doxland I’ve got an EQ 14 and cannot get a Bios setting to enable (WOL) wakeonlan. I’ve been to Power and chipset but still no joy. Ive got Ubuntu 24.04. 1 Iinstalled and it shows WOL is already installed. I’ve chosen S5 state in PCH-10 configuration even though South Cluster configuration was not found.I’ve followed this instruction from A.I. https://buildin.ai/lizong/dc0dd367-ee69-4356-8675-d816e0bc5d37 yet it still no WOL option. All this being done in Aptios American Megatrends Bios Vendor TWEQ14001. Ser. # BN150BF00132.
support1 Doxland Hi there, actually, the WOL is enabled by default in the BIOS. So you do not need to adjust the setting there.
Doxland Give me clue where in the TWEQ 14001 Bios I can’t find it and if it is I don’t know how to enable it in Ubuntu 24.04.1. I have how ever managed to get the BeeLink Logo to carry on and boot my operating system; Perhaps that’s all I need. Thanks for the reply!
Doxland Thanks support 1 That’s what as wrong. I read in another post (probably not here) where some one said "Select S5 "which I did, in PCH-IO after a power failure. Some how that didn’t get changed until I did it just now. Thanks again for the direction. Ill try it now and see if a mouse movement wakes the computer from suspend or shutdown. DOxland
Doxland I’ve encountered another with my EQ 14. Now after a suspend it won’t boot unless I go through the BIOS BOOT and save my settings again. My other machines wake up with a mouse movement.
Doxland I did a CMOS reset thanks to guidance from Support Eleven; but this machine still won’t boot without going through the BIOS and “save and reset the same settings.” Another problem is that this machine shuts down well before the suspend time set in the operating system; about 15 min. whereas the OS is set to 45 min suspend. I suspect there is a builtin timer setting. in the Aptios BIOS? Should I go back to the factory settings in the BIOS? It runs well once the OS boots. Any thoughts?
support1 Doxland Hi there, please restore the defaults in the BIOS. Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS. On Save&Exit page, please click Restore defaults, press enter to confirm, then press F4 to save.
Doxland Hello support It’s done and seems to boot my OS OK. If a new BIOS comes out for a EQ 14 could you direct me to it. Thanks
