I have a Beelink SER5. Here are the numbers from the case in case the photo is not available to you. 9Y.UP3190834B10; SN:Y58003CG30853; SER5 MAX-E-321TBEJ0W64PRO-DP/XA. The current BIOS shows version 5800H602 from 6/15/2023 13:49:16. On the files page, 5800H605_LK_20240906_2024-09-14_9-26-52.zip is available. Is this the latest BIOS for my machine and can I flash that file directly or do I need to incremently flash the previous 603 and 604 BIOS files first in order? Thanks.

I have bought another SER5 MAX 6800U 24GB model and it has the same issue. (similar issue as user BasedPaste above)
Stressing CPU alone it can reach over 3GHz all core and draw the full 28W without issue.
As soon as GPU is involved (gaming or stressing both CPU and GPU), the CPU frequency drop to under 1GHz. It is also not drawing the full 28W, usually 13-22W. It’s not overheating and temperature is below 65C.
For example in OCCT, stressing CPU + GPU put the CPU clock to 0.4GHz.
Running Heaven benchmark, the CPU fluctuates between 0.4-1GHz.

Hi, same problems as some users are reporting here. SER 5 MAX 6800U with 32gb, anytime I stress CPU+GPU it works at a combined 18w tdp (9w GPU / 9w CPU). If I only do a stress test on the CPU, it tops at around 27W. Can you please check this issue and provide a fix? It’s a general issue. Apart from this problem the model works great but it’s underperforming a lot.

Hi, I have the same problem with my ser5 max with the 6800U. When putting a full load on the cpu everything works ok and the computer uses the full 28W as intended, but if you try to use the cpu and the gpu at the same time (like when playing a game like spider-man 2 or rendering something) the tdp goes down to 15W and the cpu downclocks itself to 0.4 GHz, even with temps around 60C.

Because of this I’m getting much worse performance than even with my old Vega 8 igpu.

The 28W TDP limit is ok, but the 15W mixed usage TDP it’s not and it’s severely handicapping the computer.

This is a bug, please release a new bios that fixes this behavior. This is NOT what this 28W cpu should do, limiting this cpu to 15W on the bios is unacceptable and false advertising

Under load/stress of gpu and cpu the tdp combined of the two cores must be around 25/28w tdp and it’s only at around 15/18. When you use only stress only cpu you get the 25/28w tdp range. Another reason to recognize this it’s a problem, under cpu stress test and tdp of 25/28w the temperature rises to around 80 degrees celsius and when you do a stress test that combines cpu and gpu it hardly reaches 55 celsius and of course underperfoms and it’s way off the specs.

The 27W or 20W ceiling you hit is likely due to thermal throttling—a safety feature that reduces power to keep temperatures within safe limits. This ensures:
No damage to internal components (prolonging your Mini PC’s lifespan).
Consistent performance during long sessions (no sudden crashes or slowdowns).
If we forced 28W without proper cooling, temperatures would spike (easily exceeding 90°C), leading to loud fan noise, reduced component life, or even system instability.

support10 The issue we are experiencing in SER5 MAX 6800U is CPU throttling to 0.4GHz when GPU is also running. At 0.4GHz the whole PC lags heavily and is barely usable. This is clearly a bug or a design flaw, as I bought another unit with the same problem. Other 6800U mini PC/laptop does not display this behavior. If your engineer is not currently working on a fix on the model, I’m afraid I have to return both units.

On latest contact with support team by email they aknowledge it’s a BIOS limitation to “balance performance”. Clearly it’s like running in a conservative way like the one you use in a laptop when you want longer battery life. It can be easily fix and the heat disipation system it’s more than enough for a much more agressive balance. Right now it’s up to Beelink to fix it on BIOS or find a workaround like some users like me are working on via script or scheduled task that all the time bypases the BIOS limit
