Having issues with my SER9 on which I have installed CachyOS Linux:

Had to disable suspend in Gnome settings as wifi module is disabled after the machine sleeps. Suppose this is an ACPI issue which others also reported.
Today another issue has shown up: Could no longer start QT apps, which seems to be a known issue with Zen 5 + Qt 6.10.1: “RDSEED was disabled in microcode due to a vulnerability, and Qt 6.10.1 apps then fail at startup”. Downgraded all qt6-packages, but this will certainly lead to further issues down the line.

Is there a BIOS update for my 64GB SER9–AI-9-HX-370?
I’m currently using BIOS version SER9T302 from February.
It seems strange that there isn’t an update.

I’d like just to communicate and confirm that the issue has been resolved. There is an issue with the processor 6800H and the Linux kernel where it crashes unless the Global C-state Control is disabled. After changing it, I have not seen a single crash for more than 2 weeks (previously the record was 24 hours).

I need to update my bios. the current version is SER5HU01 with a build date of 10/28/2024.
I’ve tried one but it was the same date. I’m trying to update the Bios for the TPM. The current TPM version is 3.92.0.5 Please help.

Your machine’s BIOS version should be the lastest.

May I ask why you need to update your TPM?

May I ask if you can view the existence of TPM in the Device Manager?

If the machine can run or install Windows 11 normally, you don’t need to update the TPM version.

Regarding the issue you reported, may I ask if secure boot is enabled on your machine?

If not, we suggest that you can try enabling secure boot first to solve the problem.
