Rx 9070 card won’t work with ex station, only with ex pro?

jooli Hi,you could try to change the BIOS:Chipst – System agent – PCI Express Congiguration – PCI Express Root Port 2 – PCIe Speed (default Auto change to gen4). PCI Express Root Port 2–PCIe Speed (default is Auto change to gen4)

I could try it, but I’d have to buy the card to do it, so I’d like to know in advance if it’s worth buying. It would be a shame if the gti12 I bought a couple of months ago with the docking station didn’t work with the card I’m about to buy

But unfortunately, the pci express gen 5 mode does not work(The display does not turn on - the card is detected but after instslation of the drivers gpu disappears from, Windows 😳😳 only change pci to gen 4 resolve this issue) . After contacting your support, you said that your R&D department is working on a solution . My question is, why didn’t you check it? And the second question is when will I be able to enable gen 5 on my ex docking station pro?

szakal87 Hi there,sorry for the trouble. Currently regarding the docking station with the RX9070XT, it still only works with GEN4 mode.

szakal87 Hi there,this is a limitation of the machine’s motherboard.
Currently, our R&D team has not developed a solution to enable GEN5 support on this motherboard. Only GEN4 can be used.

I just wanted to ask for a bit of clarification. The posts above mention that PCIe 5.0 ×8 mode isn’t currently functional and that this is “a limitation of the machine’s motherboard.”

Could you please confirm whether this limitation applies only to the earlier GTi12–GTi14 Ultra models, or if it also affects the newer GTi15 Ultra when used with the EX Pro Docking Station?

It would be really helpful to know whether the issue lies in the GTi motherboard design itself or in the EX Pro Dock interface, so that users can better understand the actual PCIe generation supported in practice (Gen 4 ×8 vs Gen 5 ×8).

jonesy127 Hi there,this issue currently affects only GTi13.
GTi12 only supports PCIe 4.0 and does not support PCIe 5.0. Currently, only GTi14 and GTi15 support PCIe 5.0.
