EQ12 won't do 1080p

I just got a Beelink EQ12. For the life of me I can’t get it to display 1080p unless I delete the Intel driver and use the basic Windows Driver, but then it auto updates to the Intel Driver and the best I can get is 1152×864 with a few other really basic choices. I have updated to the latest Intel Drivers. I have Win11 Pro updated. Image description

Cheyne Can you try another HDMI cable or monitor to test if the problrm still exist

Let me give it a try and I will report back my findings. The setup does do 1080p as long as I use the Microsoft Basic Driver.

I was able to hook to the TV in our office which is 4k. It works correctly. I also tried a different HDMI cable using the first monitor, but that didn’t not fix the problem. The only real fix is to run the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter which does run at 1080p correctly. I ordered another HDMI cable and an HDMI to DP cable. I had never used this monitor with HDMI until now and it does work correctly with another computer both on DP and HDMI. Only my Beelink doesn’t work.

as an experiement I tossed Ubuntu Linux on the computer and everything works as expected. Also with Ubuntu I’m getting 144Hz refresh rate on my monitor. I will pry just leave Ubuntu on it since I use it more than Windows.

Cheyne OK, if you use Windows again, you can try to download the latest graphics driver from Intel’s official website.

After getting Linux up and running I made a image of the machine and put Windows back on as a test. With the the current drivers from Intel in both Windows 10 and 11 I’m still getting at best 1154×852 for resolution, but if I roll back to the Microsoft Basic Display Driver I get 1080p. Also my ethernet port has disappeared in software and the light is not on when plugged into an active port. I did update the BIOS using the most recent from your support page.

Sorry that wouldn’t work. The machine needs to work as advertised. I got the PM. I already have those drivers downloaded and tried them. The ethernet disappeared when I updated the BIOS to 1.06. I have one last thing to try today, but most like I will just return to Amazon for a refund.
