Mxa77 Hello, is it normal for GTi14 Ultra 9 185H to be warm at the bottom of the case when the power is off and the mini PC has been off over night? Does GTi14 consume power while the PC is off? Why should it be warm? I understand the power supply is built-in, but when PC is off it should not using any power as I’ve noticed in my Mac mini M4 which is cold when off. Thank you
support16 Mxa77 Hi,after shutting down, the PC enters modern standby mode, so it still consumes power. About the overheating, may I know did you test the exact degrees? If you need to shut down it compeletely, you could unplug the power.
Mxa77 No, I don’t have a way to measure the heat, but it’s as warm as if the PC is normally on. Is there a setting in BIOS that I can use to turn off the standby mode for modem, so it’s not consuming any power?
support1 Mxa77 Here there, Please go to Control Panel, click the Power Options. Select the Choose what the power buttons do. Uncheck the Turn on fast startup (recommended).Select Save Settings.
Mxa77 I changed the settings and restarted the PC, but the meter still shows about 2.5W power usage even though the PC is off. Please see the power meter showing the draw from outlet.
