After a lot of frustration with Wake-on-LAN (WoL) on my Beelink EQ12 (Intel i225-V, Windows 11), I finally found a solution that works—here’s exactly what I did:
What didn’t work:
Tried all Windows settings (power management, device manager, disabling Fast Startup)
Tested several WoL Android apps
Checked BIOS—no explicit WoL or PCI-E wake options available
Used the latest Intel and generic drivers from Intel’s site and Windows Update: WoL did NOT work
What finally worked:
I contacted Beelink support and requested their official network driver for the EQ12
Installed the driver provided by Beelink: Intel i225-V, version 1.1.3.28 (2022-03-05)
Enabled “Allow this device to wake the computer” and “Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer” in Device Manager for the Intel i225-V adapter
Disabled Fast Startup in Windows Power Options
Set up my WoL app with the correct MAC and broadcast address
Important:
Do NOT update the network driver via Windows Update or Intel’s website—this will break WoL again.
To prevent auto-updates, go to Windows Update > Advanced options and turn off driver updates for other devices.
Result:
Wake-on-LAN now works perfectly from sleep and hibernation using the Beelink-supplied driver (v1.1.3.28).
If you’re stuck, get the official driver from Beelink support and avoid updating it through Windows or Intel.
Hope this helps someone else save a lot of time!
