Is the 2 TB/ 64 RAM version of the SER8 AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS 1 × 2TB SSD or 2 × 1TB SSD?
The beeling distributors in Hong Kong .. Hornington insists that its 2TB and the second slot is empty for upgrade. Apparently this is the same with US sold models. Can someine confirm if true?

What is a recommended 4TB (brand/model) to add on in slot 2 if I should upgrade?

support1 Thanks for the response. 1. I can confirm that the Hornington version is a single 2TB SSD. They claim this is the “Official” HK version and I have had another dealer message them and they have it in writing as well. Chances are they are tampering with the official product which should not be the case or permitted to happen. Now I purchased a 2TB version expecting to receive what Hornington (your official distributor) mentioned but I was scammed and received the version with 2 × 1 TB HDDS. Returning it was a hassle so I just decided to be a very unhappy customer and keep it. I went out and purchased a second 4TB HDD as the 1TB is useless and is sitting in a trash can.
The other issue is warranty as your dealers here in HK recommended that I should not purchase from your website as you are in China hence service is poor and bad (being China) hence I I should buy locally as warranty was provided by the local distributor which is faster and more reliable than sending it back to your office in China.

I am not sure who is lying here but I have a 1TBB drive in the trash. I wish I went with the 32/1TB model and upgraded. There seems to be an isue clearly with your local dealers and this is extremely shady. You claim that the same version is sold here but they claim otherwise. I am not sure if you guys are lying (as claimed by your distributor) or the distributor is intentionally tampering with your product and selling something different to HK public. I beleive it may be the latter but this is still not acceptable as it creates a very unplesant situation for your customers here in Hong Kong.

Im glad that you followed up. The distributor was delivering the said product with a 2TB Drive and their info was the reason I made my purchase. I now have a useless 1TB drive and my C drive is 1TB short as I needed to upgrade the second slot. You should consider either refunding me for the 1TB as the misinformation was provided by your official distributor here and at least three other dealers who are his authorised channels.

As of this afternoon Hornington claims that he has stock coming in this week and was asking me to return yours to buy his. Returning this is a huge hassle especially lying about the value at $15 (requested by your staff)* as its illegal as per HK law and SF the courier refused the shipment.. Then there is the added shipping expense on my part so I opted of an upgrade. I would be happy to send the 1TB back to you.

*1.Please declare a value of $15 for your machine. (Otherwise unable to pass customs) in your email

I am considering filing reports with the Hong Kong consumer council, dispute with my credit card (as the invoice clearly does not specify two separate drives).

I think you need to keep a close watch on your people in HKG as this shady scammy business is nothing new with local businesses.
