ME Mini does not auto power on after power failure

I have just received my ME Mini and started setting it up.

One of the first things I look for is to make sure it automatically powers on and boots after a power failure, but it doesn’t do this ‘out of the box’ and I cannot find that setting in the BIOS. Have I missed something or is this feature missing?

As this device is marketed as a NAS you would think it is designed to run 24×7, so if it doesn’t auto-boot after a power failure that’s a pretty huge problem for me (and I assume a lot of other customers too!).

Please tell me I just didn’t look in the right place and explain how to make it auto-power on as soon as power is restored.

Thanks for looking, but… that tutorial does not match the ME Mini BIOS screens I’m seeing so isn’t useful at all ☹️

A different bios? The tutorial matches what I see on my ME mini and I just verified that auto power on now works. I have bios version M1V305.

The link you shared shows BIOS version “5.13”

Rob_in Sorry - I thought that when you said your bios didn’t match, you meant it didn’t have the same settings available. The tutorial screenshots weren’t even made with an ME mini (it says GK mini). Whatever machine they did the tutorial with works the same way as it does in my ME mini.

From the bios main screen, use the right arrow to get to “Chipset”
Use the down arrow to get to “PCH IO Configuration”
Use the down arrow to get to “State after G3”
Hit enter and select “S0”
Esc a few times, save and reboot.
