Step 1: Run Windows Printer Troubleshooter
Open Settings
Select Update & Security
In the left menu, choose Troubleshoot
Click on Additional troubleshooters
Find and click on Printer
Click Run the troubleshooter to let the system automatically detect and fix printer issues
Step 2: Check Printer Device Status in Device Manager
Press Win + X keys and select Device Manager
Expand Print Queues and Universal Serial Bus Controllers to see if there are any yellow warning signs
If there is an issue with the printer, right-click the device and select Uninstall device
Restart the computer, and Windows will automatically reinstall the driver
Step 3: Manually Uninstall and Reinstall Printer Driver
Uninstall existing drivers
Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers
Right-click the printer and select Remove device
Click Delete driver package (if the option is available)
Visit the printer manufacturer’s website
Go to the printer manufacturer’s official website and download the latest driver. Make sure to select the driver that is compatible with your operating system version (32-bit, 64-bit, or ARM architecture).
Run the driver installation program and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Restart the computer
Once installation is complete, restart the system to make the driver take effect.
