In order to utilize GTR Pro full potential for AI applications, I’m required to install Ubuntu 24.04 along with AMD ROCm (which is not supported on windows 11). After installing Ubuntu, I noticed a recurring problem with the built in ethernet adapters. Whenever the computer encounters load on the GPU, the ethernet card would crash and the only way to get it to work again is to unplug my machine from power. Please advise as this makes the machine unusable as a server under Linux. It happens on gaming distributions such as Bazzite, as well.

I am on manjaro linux, and it seems like you can just use the intel default package for nvm updates for the 610 NIC ( https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/845408/non-volatile-memory-nvm-update-package-for-intel-ethernet-e610-series-linux.html ) to flash it to 1.30. Just make sure you can see the nic with lspci before you start (if not, coldstart).

Sorry for the trouble. Currently, the Lan issue of the GTR9 395 persists, and its root cause lies in the Ethernet driver. As of now, there is no new driver available to resolve the problem of the Intel E610. The current workarounds are as follows: Perform a physical power-off and re-plug the power cable. We suggest you to to use a Wi-Fi connection instead. A complete resolution to this issue will only be possible once a new driver is released

Beelink CS-George I was just about to place an order for this device… after reading these posts and the implicated lack of urgency in your response (not even and indicated time-line) to this major issue. I’ll hold off and quite likely look at the Framework product.

Sharing the issue I experienced related to this case

BIOS version: 110
NVM version: 1.41
Driver version: 31.0

Symptom: The system crashes and the Ethernet port freezes when running the Final Fantasy 14 benchmark while the onboard Ethernet is active.
BIOS changes: Disabled ECO Mode, enabled PBO, and adjusted the TjMax setting.
Result:
TjMax set to 80 °C → Pass (no crash)
TjMax set to 85 °C → Fail (crash)
Measurements during the benchmark:
CPU package power peaked at 145 W.
The GPU remained at frequencies of ≥ 2850 MHz for most of the run, with no performance loss observed.

When TjMax is left unset, the package power can reach a peak of 170 W in Cinebench, and throttling occurs once the temperature reaches 90 °C.

Fridella For step 3 I’ve found running at ~75℃ for 5 minutes is more than enough, and for step 5 you must remove mains power for a few seconds so the NIC re-initializes, and obviously you can do that before step 4.

After reading your post I tried some of your suggestions.

My current setup:
BIOS version: 110
NVM version: 1.41
Driver version: 31.0
Windows 11: 25H2

BIOS changes (AMD CBS/SMU Config):
ECO Mode: Disabled
TjMax set to 80 °C → Pass (no crash)
TjMax set to 85 °C → Pass (no crash)
TjMax set to 90 °C → Fail (crash)

I’ve been playing AC Odyssey for many hours. I even did a complete shut down/power off for an hour/restart. I am having no issues with the Intel NIC enable and in use as well.

Some things I have noticed. Before with ECO mode enabled, my Steam overlay the CPU temp showed 85 degree Celsius. Now with ECO mode disabled, the temperature never goes above 60 C. I did also notice about a 5% decrease in framerate which I am okay with as long as the unit remains stable.

For now, I am not going to ship back my unit as it appears to be functioning as expected. I will continue to play a variety of games to test.

Thanks Fridella for setting me on the right track to resolve this problem.

Oh, I also didn’t touch the PBO setting. Mostly because I didn’t know how to do that or where it was located in the BIOS settings.

Well, so it is an unfixable hardware issue then?

Before I start up the process of getting a replacement “yet again” (Already did an RMA once in September/October last year due to a faulty fan. This took a whopping 4 weeks to get a replacement unit.)

Exactly what is fixed in this revision? Is it a whole new NIC? A different NIC? A revised version of the E610?

Cause at this point I need hard guarantees that this revision has been tested thoroughly and we are 100% guaranteed the issue is actually fixed, before we end up sending our units back and getting a still faulty one back.

Some games will run just fine and others crash the system. It actually seems that the more intense games run while the simple graphic games have more of an issue. I’ve tried several TJMax settings and for now settled on 80 °C.

One thing for sure that will crash the system is Steam VR games.

Another thing I adjusted was the AMD Adrenalin global experience setting to Quality. That actually made my system run smoother than using the HYPR-RX mode.

So, in brief, there is still an issue with enabling the Intel NIC with some games causing a crash. I haven’t yet found a pattern or a setting to fix this.

The PC crashes instantly upon launching UserBenchmark (before any benchmark tests begin).

Critical constraints:

This is my primary work machine. Sending it abroad (China) for repair or return is not possible, as it would completely halt my work.

Key questions for resolution:

Is replacing the unit with a new one actually a fix? No clear diagnosis has been provided: is this a hardware defect or a software/firmware issue (potentially solvable via update, BIOS, or driver patch)? If software-related, a replacement may crash the same way.
Has the known fan issue been resolved in recent production batches, or is a replacement unit still likely to have that fan fault as well?
If the crash is confirmed as hardware-related e.g. capacitor, can it be repaired locally with a simple fix such as adding a capacitor or similar basic component-level repair? I have soldering tools, experience, and skills to perform such repairs myself — this would be much faster and more practical than full RMA.

However, one solution I can imagine would be for BeeLink to send the new revision (without NVME) in a box and with a return label to return the defective unit(s) easily and efficiently. Then the exchange goes pretty smoothly. Important: Swap NVME beforehand.

Because after this debacle, one now should expect the exchange to be as pleasant and as uninterrupted as possible for the customer.

Nirantali I agree about the replacement part, especially since some of us had to replace this device once already due to the initial fan debacle. (Which took well up to a month to get a replacement device!) But it was also the point where most of us just recieved the device and hadn’t set it up for day to day/permanent use.

This is however completely different now, I for one am at a point where I use this device daily and simply cannot just ship it off for RMA and have 2 weeks (if not more) of no device. (Which is why I am torn about doing an RMA to begin with, currently using an USB to Ethernet adapter as workaround.)

Aside from that….. since the information about the Marvel T NIC has been scrapped from the comments, I wonder if that information was even correct to begin with.

This is accepted way to go if there is no firmare fix available and hardware detected faylty.
I replaced fan myself already.
