Sorry but that’s actually pretty cheap.
Also btw. the E610-XT2 dual port 10Gbe that now must be disabled to actually use the System is worth $280
The USB4 Single Port 10G Ethernet Adapter from AliExpress is now $128 (I got it for $111.- with discounts).
Also any alternative to what?
To an 10Gbe NIC?
No, I bought it especially because of the 10Gbe NICs because my whole Infrastructure is 10Gbe.
The only real alternative would be that you fix it or if not possible via Firmware Update then a call back and exchange or the last and worst solution a full refund.
I already proposed you an 20% partial refund but you refused.
But you know 20% was fair because :
Loss of E610-XT2 Dual Port 10Gbe = $280
USB4 Single Port 10G Ethernet Adapter = $111
Loss of one 10Gbe Port $27 ? Is laughable and should be even more
Cost of all the Trouble ?? Not even included!
And 20% of what I paid is $418
This would have been absolutely fair, but like I said you refused and then offered me $20 and a 3 Year Warranty Extension instead, but a Warranty Extension on an already broken Device is worthless.
So I guess you prefer a Full Refund then?
I send it back and you refund me the whole Price?
If so, it was the first and last time I ever bought something from you, and you will be put on a permanent black list (Reasons: catastrophic first impression, poor communication, stalling tactics, no understanding of losses, failure to keep promises) which also includes other brands. And that’s no joke, there are brands that have been on it for 20 years and no one has ever bought anything from them again.
And just so we’re clear, I don’t actually care about money. I suggested the 20% partial refund for logical and fairness reasons in order to complete the matter. Personally, I wouldn’t give a damn if I just threw the item in the trash instead of getting a full refund. But the consequences for the brand remain even then. For me, a full refund is an annoyance, basically nothing except trouble and expenses. A recall and replacement is also annoying, but if at least the device is fully functional afterwards you just have to bite the bullet. It also shows responsibility and quality awareness, which then benefits the company.
