Ultimately it’s about trust. I trusted twice and was disappointed.
Now I want the fixed rev2.2 to be sent to me first so that I can remove my NVMEs and install them in the new one as easily and without interruption as possible. I will then send the defective device back immediately and even cover the return shipping costs.
When there was this FDIV bug with the Pentiums, Intel simply sent me a new CPU with a padded return envelope for the old one. I even got a 90mhz one even though the old one was a 60mhz one. So it’s nothing unusual with such exchanges.
If they assume that I will keep both devices, then we have a fundamental trust problem here. Then I could also assume the same thing, that they won’t send me a new one if I send it first. The same thing even if I send it back for a full refund, that they then simply won’t transfer any money to me. At least I would have more reason to do so because I have already been disappointed twice.
In addition, it is more of a sign of strength if you as a company send first and trust your customers. As to generally suspect customers of being thieves, especially when it is your own fault that an exchange is needed, is simply pathetic and weak.
But one thing is true, it’s a dilemma and we can’t get any further here, it’s basically a dead end.
The only thing left from this purchase and the Beelink brand is lost time and regret.

I already wrote that I flashed 1.41 and it didn’t help.
