I recently purchased a Beelink EQi12 (Intel® Core™ 1220P, Intel® UHD Graphics 1.10GHz, 24GB RAM, 500GB SSD, UK version). Unfortunately, after less than a day of use, the device has stopped booting properly. During the initial setup of Windows 11, I encountered frequent issues with the system stalling during reboots. I had to unplug the power cable to restart it, as the power button was unresponsive. After several hard reboots, I managed to complete the Windows 11 setup and updates. However, the device now refuses to boot at all. Here are some details that may help in diagnosing the issue: The power LED functions normally, turning on and off when the power button is pressed. The keyboard and mouse appear to initialize, but no keys respond (e.g., pressing Caps Lock shows no response). The HDMI connection seems to initialize, but there is no display output (though I’m unsure if the monitor is merely detecting the connection). I cleared the CMOS and waited about 15 minutes before attempting to power it back on, but this made no difference. The keyboard, mouse, HDMI cable, and monitor all work perfectly with my Apple Mac Mini M1. I’ve also tested different HDMI cables and Beelink’s HDMI ports, ruling out the peripherals as the cause. I’ve had excellent experiences with Beelink products in the past, and this device came highly recommended. However, I’m disappointed that it has malfunctioned after just one day of use. I’ve identified the issue as being related to the included NVMe drive. After removing the 500GB NVMe chip, the device was able to boot into the BIOS (couldn’t do this before) and load Linux via USB without any problems. However, I’m unsure whether the fault lies with the NVMe chip itself, the NVMe interface, or the motherboard. Swapping the chip to different slots didn’t make a difference. Unfortunately, I don’t have a spare NVMe drive to test whether the one I received is defective.

Hello. I have the same model machine, EQi12, 32GB RAM, 500 GB HD, i7-12650H processor. After installing Windows updates last night (4 Nov, 24) the machine won’t get past POST. After changing the boot order to allow boot from USB and booting with Linux, the machine will boot. Just not with Windows. Unfortunately, I need Windows on this machine. Any suggestions?

I have been able to boot the machine from a USB Repair drive. The Microsoft repair product cannot automatically complete repairs. I am willing to re-install Win 11 at this point. Can you supply a key? SN image below.

I just received my EQi12 1220P / 24GB RAM / 512GB NVMe, and it’s doing the same thing. If I plug in ANY USB peripheral (keyboard, mouse, HID dongle), the system hangs at boot. If I plug in a USB STORAGE drive (along with the peripheral), the system will post and boot (this works even with a card reader without any physical storage attached). I’ve tried disabling XHCI handoff and all of the other USB options in the BIOS, and I’ve flashed the latest BIOS… I’d rather not have to have a storage thumb drive plugged in for this machine to boot; has there been a fix yet?

Expanding on this further… I tried to do a fresh install of Windows 11 (with and without the Beelink image) after reformatting the drive, and that will boot so long as you “reboot” the machine. The first time you shut down the machine and power it back on, the same issues presents again… Symptoms so far are… System posts fine out of the box and from a fresh install of Windows 11. System FAILS to post after shutting down the machine (Windows 11 -> Start -> Shutdown) when an HID device is connected. System POSTS after disconnecting USB HID device (Keyboard, Mouse, or combo wireless dongle). System POSTS WITH USB HID device after ALSO connecting a USB storage device (including a card reader, even without storage attached). Tested so far… Clearing CMOS. BIOS update, followed by clearing CMOS. Enabling Fast Boot (Note: disabling USB Fast Boot stops the machine from booting even with a USB storage device). Reinstallation of Windows 11 (fresh Microsoft image). Reinstallation of Windows 11 (fresh Beelink image). As a workaround for now since I need to get this machine into service, I just have a slim USB thumb drive installed into the machine.

khuntim Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS. Please send us a picture of the Main page, we will check if you need to update the BIOS. Remove the fan, clean it and apply a very small amount of nonconducting lubricant to the shaft and reassemble the unit
