support6 3 days ago, you (or a colleague of yours) advised to install FanControl (comment #4), but that is a Windows application and is blocked by some antivirus software. I tried it out, it can even stop the fan from spinning, so it is just possible to implement.

There was another thread in which users are asking for this function. Why don’t you implement it in BIOS if it is a requested feature?

Dear Beelink Team,
Yesterday evening I made 2 posts in the Ser8 topic espacialy the same Problem with the fan noice.. Unfortunately, both posts are no longer visible in the forum. The 2 posts are displayed in my account, but the content is missing here too. Allow me to ask where the content of my posts has gone?

spritti my posts are always moderated, and awaiting approval, so you are more lucky than I am.

spritti I think they don’t want to implement this but they also don’t want to make this visible.

Given the high price of a SER 8, I expect a little more cooperation and concrete help with this problem. Let’s wait and see how this develops.
    Bey, see you

spritti me too, I am just shocked why they are not supportive at all. It is easy to do and would make a huge respect towards them.

유니주니 Hi, can you post screenshots of the “FunControl” settings?
The program works, but I can only set a constant speed. My curve does not control the fan

We hope to modify the BIOS at Beelink to control the CPU fan speed without special software like ‘fan control’ on Windows 11.

Click the fluorescent + button to add a graph.

support6 I know but this function doesn’t work in BIOS. This is why we all ask you.

      support6 in comment #7 I already explained.
“Full On Mode” works (fan goes maximum), but when you set to “PWM Manually” or “Automatic” modes, it does nothing. No matter what values are set, it will always go with default settings.
Same applies to menu “Advanced > OEM Features Management > Usb Power Controller”. Anything is set, will always be “All ON”.

유니주니 thank you very much, it works now. my mistake was to create a curve but I didn’t select it for CPU FAN operation.
This problem is annoying for me. I chose this computer because of the quietness of the fan. I even compared radiator designs.
And now other threads in which I wrote are being deleted

      유니주니
      유유 thanks again

szamanido yes, annoying because the computer is very good. But when it does nothing, you still hear that humming sound from the CPU fan, and this can not be turned off. The Windows software helps for the selected Windows users, but it will be much better if it would have been configurable through bios, which is there, but not functioning.

        Hi there
You can also try Software : SpeedFan  to optimize the fan .

        seriously, can I really?
        yes I can!

I feel myself in an infinite loop :D

[unknown] do you think they understand our problem?

        hello there,
Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS. On Save&Exit page, please click Restore defaults, press enter to confirm, then press F4 to save. then only set PWM, and don’t adjust other setting.

support6 I have already tried everything. Please understand that it just does not work.

I have a SER5 MAX, it has the same menu in BIOS, SER5 works fine when I change the settings, SER8 doesn’t react to that. It seems that in SER8 BIOS, anything you change has no effect.

Hello all, I would like to briefly summarize which changes did NOT help to adjust the fan volume or fan management speed:
            different Bios updates –> Vers.29xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
PWM Bios settings automatic, manual… tried all settings once Result >> fan is constantly running!
Bios reset to default setting. Result >> fan is constantly running!
PWM to automatic Result >> fan is constantly running!
Tried FanControl (Windows software) as a workaround. Unfortunately I have to say that when installing the third-party software
all alarm bells >> Windows Defender, Avast etc. block the software from running! You then have to enter exceptions in the virus scanner to get FanControl to work. My conclusion here is that Fan Control should not be used permanently.
At this point I would also like to add that it is strange for the manufacturer to expect the end customer to use such a solution (workaround). I think we all don’t need a DIY solution, but rather a bios update that works! Hope it comes soon…….
