carlosmeldano Beelink CS-Bettie 3 days ago, you (or a colleague of yours) advised to install FanControl (comment #4), but that is a Windows application and is blocked by some antivirus software. I tried it out, it can even stop the fan from spinning, so it is just possible to implement. There was another thread in which users are asking for this function. Why don’t you implement it in BIOS if it is a requested feature?
spritti Dear Beelink Team, Yesterday evening I made 2 posts in the Ser8 topic espacialy the same Problem with the fan noice.. Unfortunately, both posts are no longer visible in the forum. The 2 posts are displayed in my account, but the content is missing here too. Allow me to ask where the content of my posts has gone? BG
carlosmeldano spritti my posts are always moderated, and awaiting approval, so you are more lucky than I am.
carlosmeldano spritti I think they don’t want to implement this but they also don’t want to make this visible.
spritti Given the high price of a SER 8, I expect a little more cooperation and concrete help with this problem. Let’s wait and see how this develops. Bey, see you
carlosmeldano spritti me too, I am just shocked why they are not supportive at all. It is easy to do and would make a huge respect towards them.
szamanido 유니주니 Hi, can you post screenshots of the “FunControl” settings? The program works, but I can only set a constant speed. My curve does not control the fan
Beelink CS-Bettie carlosmeldano hello there, we have checked with our technical personnel, you can adjust the PWM,
carlosmeldano Beelink CS-Bettie I know but this function doesn’t work in BIOS. This is why we all ask you. Beelink CS-Bettie in comment #7 I already explained. “Full On Mode” works (fan goes maximum), but when you set to “PWM Manually” or “Automatic” modes, it does nothing. No matter what values are set, it will always go with default settings. Same applies to menu “Advanced > OEM Features Management > Usb Power Controller”. Anything is set, will always be “All ON”.
유니주니 We hope to modify the BIOS at Beelink to control the CPU fan speed without special software like ‘fan control’ on Windows 11. Click the fluorescent + button to add a graph.
szamanido 유니주니 thank you very much, it works now. my mistake was to create a curve but I didn’t select it for CPU FAN operation. This problem is annoying for me. I chose this computer because of the quietness of the fan. I even compared radiator designs. And now other threads in which I wrote are being deleted https://bbs.bee-link.com/d/1277-ser8-win-24h2-fan-speed--fan-control-problem/20 /404 NotFound/ 유니주니 유유 thanks again
carlosmeldano szamanido yes, annoying because the computer is very good. But when it does nothing, you still hear that humming sound from the CPU fan, and this can not be turned off. The Windows software helps for the selected Windows users, but it will be much better if it would have been configurable through bios, which is there, but not functioning.
carlosmeldano I feel myself in an infinite loop :D [unknown] do you think they understand our problem?
Beelink CS-Bettie hello there, Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS. On Save&Exit page, please click Restore defaults, press enter to confirm, then press F4 to save. then only set PWM, and don’t adjust other setting.
carlosmeldano Beelink CS-Bettie I have already tried everything. Please understand that it just does not work. I have a SER5 MAX, it has the same menu in BIOS, SER5 works fine when I change the settings, SER8 doesn’t react to that. It seems that in SER8 BIOS, anything you change has no effect.
Beelink CS-Ian Chan carlosmeldano Hi there i have sent you a BIOS for optimizing the fan . and please try this software first, see if it works 1.You can also try Software : SpeedFan to optimize the fan .
