Hi,
I set up an ‘Administrator Password’ on the BIOS, as it is my preference. However, unlike many other devices when you set an Administrator Password it only “asks” for it when you attempt to enter the BIOS, but if you do not try to enter BIOS then the machine shouldn’t ask for the Password.
On the SER8, for some reason, every time I turn on the computer it is asking for the Administrator Password even though I do not attempt to open the BIOS. Why is this happening? And how do I remove this “condition” of the Administrator Password being asked every time the computer turns on?
How can I reset this or remove this, maybe remove Administrator Password all together? I however, do not want to factory reset or do any action that may cause any data, programs, or files that I have save on Windows to be deleted.
This is what I’ve tried already, but with no success:
- Pressing the CLR CMOS button on the front of the device, while the device was Off and Disconnected.
- Entering BIOS > Security and “Restoring Defaults”.
