It all started after clicking that annoying little red box in sys tray that won’t go away(AMD driver). So I figure why not right. The harm. Now I have NO PC anymore. :( I just paid $1000 for this box and only had it a few days I am just setting this thing up! So no I don’t have a back-up or able to make one. I am really stuck here! I have tried to download that assistand to make a USB boot but that never loads and says download error. On multiple pc’s. I now have a $1000 BRICK! AMAZING! THANKS AMD!

Let’s just say it’s performing horribly! I took the drivers folder from my 15 year old laptop and data transfer was at 17mbs. So I transfer it over usb to SER9 andit’s 1-2mbs! INSAIN:Y DROP! WTF!
Yeah something is definitely wrong!

The “RJ45” Ethernet controller drivers package was the ONLY one I could click on a “.exe” file and install.
That was it. Nothing else seems to work with any others saying file is currupt. So yeah same source downloaded a million times.
I still have 9 items here waiting to be fixed. This is NOT ACCEPABLE! As some of your support thinks to seem so?

Another mention here is:
Data transfer to usb on 15 year old laptop was 7-8mbs.
Data transfer to minipc 1 week old was 1-2mbs.(10gb port)

Customer support Emailed me to try downloading the AMD tool.
But that is what put me into this mess to begin with!
As soon as I click to install.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
I am back to the begining of this problem imidiatly!
BLUE SCREEN REBOOT LOOP FOREVER!

As long as I didn’t do anything standing as still as possible. During transfers.

Sorry for the trouble. Here are some potential solutions:
① Forcefully end the process
Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), find a process like “AMD Software Updater” or “AMD External Events”, right-click and select “End Task”.
If the icon still exists, try restarting Windows Explorer: find “Windows Explorer” in Task Manager → right-click and select “Restart”.

② Clear cache files
Delete temporary files of AMD software: Open the Run window (Win+R) and enter %localappdata%\AMD, delete all contents in the folder and restart the computer.

③Please go to AMD website and download the auto-detect program.It will update some chipsets and video drivers automatically. It will identify and install appropriate drivers for their AMD hardware. The program works by scanning the user’s system to detect the installed AMD hardware components, such as graphics cards or processors. It then compares the detected hardware information with a database of AMD drivers and software versions.

Why would you recommend what caused the problem to begin with?
I WILL NOT INSTALL AN AMD TOOL! during install is where this problem originated!!!!!!!
IT WILL LOCK MY SYSTEM AND NEVER BOOT AGAIN!

I was able to remove from “startup” by unchecking startup.

I just received a Ser 9 HX370, and I’m in the course of setting it up.

I did update the AMD drivers, to no ill effect.

Edit - the AMD drivers & software tab reports that I am now on version 25.3.1, dated February 25, 2025, and current now.

You didn’t explain what you did and what the specific result was, just that you clicked the update and “I have NO PC anymore”.

One thing I did notice that is disturbing on my machine, looking in Windows Event Viewer, is a constant stream of Event ID 56 errors, for ACPI 0. These are power supply related, and Google search suggests the manufacturer has an improperly configured BIOS to generate such errors.

If you have a chance, can you check if you’re getting those Event ID 56 errors too?

If I ever get a chance?
I am or was trying to install programs to get my PC going. Still never even got to a single game yet.
Lukily I have made a backup image with all the basics in place!
In wich I DID NOT HAVE as this happen to me just 2 days os ownership.

And to answer your question these problems started after doing the “AMD BUBBLE UPDATE” or running “AMD SEARCH TOOL.exe”
It cause blue screen shut down and failure loop.
