Well yeah, but if you refer to EU-Plug, you normally don’t refer to DE (Schuko)-Type F, but the two-pole Europlug which is also compatible with Types C, E, F, L, J and K. Like if I select EU-Plug on AliExpress, I gonna get a Europlug and not a German (Schuko)-Type F.
It must also be mentioned that although in the EU, for example: Italy(Type L), France(Type C/E), Malta(Type G), Denmark(Type K), Ireland(Type G) use other plugs. And Type L, K, C, E, J and G are incompatible with DE (Schuko)-Type F.
In addition Devices with fixed DE (Schuko)-Type F are prohibited in Switzerland since 2013. Devices with German Type F plugs are not allowed to be sold in Switzerland unless they are equipped with a fixed, non-removable adapter for the Swiss Type J socket.
But luckily the GTR 9 Pro has a IEC 60320 C5 and it just came with the wrong cable. And yes, you could of course order a C5 to T12 cable, but it’s not that easy to find one, because most stores only have C15 to T12. It was therefore easier for me to simply cut off the useless plug and put a T12 plug on it (I always have T12 plugs in stock for this) and as a former electrician, that’s not a problem for me. This also creates less waste because I only throw away the useless DE (Schuko)-Type F plug and not the entire cable.
If a two-pin ungrounded plug you cannot be used with a device, you just have to make sure that you supply the correct cables with your product. I have already ordered many devices from AliExpress that required C15 and they always were able to include the correct cable with T12. And if there were power supplies, all adapters were always included. That’s just good service.
But I also have to say that there are also Swiss online retailers who fail and have the wrong cables in the package, which is embarrassing and, by the way, the main reason why I always have T12 plugs in stock so that I can replace the plugs quickly myself.
