In order to utilize GTR Pro full potential for AI applications, I’m required to install Ubuntu 24.04 along with AMD ROCm (which is not supported on windows 11). After installing Ubuntu, I noticed a recurring problem with the built in ethernet adapters. Whenever the computer encounters load on the GPU, the ethernet card would crash and the only way to get it to work again is to unplug my machine from power. Please advise as this makes the machine unusable as a server under Linux. It happens on gaming distributions such as Bazzite, as well.

I am on manjaro linux, and it seems like you can just use the intel default package for nvm updates for the 610 NIC ( https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/845408/non-volatile-memory-nvm-update-package-for-intel-ethernet-e610-series-linux.html ) to flash it to 1.30. Just make sure you can see the nic with lspci before you start (if not, coldstart).

Sorry for the trouble. Currently, the Lan issue of the GTR9 395 persists, and its root cause lies in the Ethernet driver. As of now, there is no new driver available to resolve the problem of the Intel E610. The current workarounds are as follows: Perform a physical power-off and re-plug the power cable. We suggest you to to use a Wi-Fi connection instead. A complete resolution to this issue will only be possible once a new driver is released

Beelink CS-George I was just about to place an order for this device… after reading these posts and the implicated lack of urgency in your response (not even and indicated time-line) to this major issue. I’ll hold off and quite likely look at the Framework product.

LEPT Thank you for your understanding and patience. decryp7 Thank you for your response. The issue stems from missing drivers, which have caused the Ethernet functionality to become inoperable. New drivers are currently under development.

GTR 9 Pro Ethernet Malfunction under load

I have completed a burnin test and furmark 2 test with no errors. when I previously uninstalled the ethernet drivers from windows in device manager I would still encounter system lock outs and reboots. This time referring to a helpful post within the community reddit (credit PiezoButter), I was able to identify the Ethernet controllers within the bios. I disabled both ethernet controller’s/ system hibernation within the bios and touch wood the system seems 100% stable for me just now. I ran all tests with the 8060s running at 120w, no failures.

To disable the ethernet controllers

In bios navigate to
Advanced -> Demo Board -> PCI-E Port).

Disable “Device 3 Fun 1” and “Device 3 Fun 2”

I’ll run with a usb4 5gb ethernet controller mean time until a fix is released for the onboards

Early days granted but system is 100% stable for me atm. I’ll update if any fails.

UPDATE 1 - Ran ‘Heavy Load,’ stress test on CPU and GPU for 5 hours no fails. (Windows 11 Pro)

I’m having WIndows 11 crashes I believe is due to the Ethernet ports. Whenever I run any game while using the Ethernet, the GTR9 will crash and disable the ethernet ports. I don’t have this issue running with Wi-Fi.

I have the Intel NIC firmware updated to 1.30, the BIOS at V1.08 and the latest Intel NIC drivers from Beelink.

I do see the following in Windows Event Viewer:

Yes, I have that error description too. The Windows kernel must have reported a problem as well (event log: red Error). When the iGPU is under load for a longer period of time, the NICs (1 and 2) freeze.
I think the only solution is: Beelink needs to provide a BIOS update.

Disable the NICs in the bios and run with a usbc ethernet adaptor or wifi until a fix is released would be my rec. It is not enough to uninstall the adaptors or disable them within the windows environment (I was still getting lock ups and fails). Since I disabled both NICs in bios and disabled the hibernate function I have had 0 fails in performance mode. This has stopped me from RMA the unit, I will wait for the eventual fix. My unit had no issues with fan noise. Note within device manager i have switched off all power management control for all usb hubs.

furmark -> 10min -> bluescreen or blackout -> NIC needs power off / PC unplugged to be recognized at next startup

bakahk Unfortunately that seems to be unavoidable, people need to start reading more before posting. Everyone seems to have a post trigger finger itching these days and don’t seem to care to read anything at all. The Beelink blog post title clearly stated “Aug - Sept BIOS Update Summary”. We are in October. Reading the post itself and specifically regarding the GTR9 Pro BIOS update we can read:

GTR9 Pro- P108 (More VRAM Options)
· Product Model: GTR9
· BIOS Version: P108
· Issues Resolved: BIOS update to add more VRAM options

So clearly it is related to the already existing P108 BIOS version released in September and to address “more VRAM options”.

I received my device today and I’m encountering an Ethernet NIC issue on Windows 11. Since I don’t have a Wi-Fi router, the device is almost unusable as I can’t even install Windows updates due to the Ethernet NICs disconnecting.

bzzz Hi, welcome to the club of sufferers. Yes, there is a problem with both LAN ports (Ethernet 1+2). We are waiting for a fix from Beelink.
In the meantime, use a USB to Ethernet adapter. (more information in this thread)
