So I’m a little stuck. I have the GTI13 & EX Dock Pro.

I setup the BIOS to go with the external gpu exclusively, disabling the internal graphics. I can reboot the PC over and over again and everything works fine.

If I do a full system shutdown and restart the computer I get no video. I have to reset the bios, plug into onboard. get the system running then I can reboot, with the monitor on the external and it starts working again. if I do a shutdown and then try again I need to start from my onboard and then move to external. once I’m on external I’m fine. it’s weird

any thoughts (and I’m sure I did a lousy job of explaining the above)

2.Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS.

3.After shutting down, did you turn on the docking station before restarting?
4.Have you adjusted the PCIe speed?

So I’ve attached what was asked for.

I am running the Zotac 5060ti

I did confirm that for Chipset -> System Agent (SA) Configuration -> PCI Express Configuration -> PCI Express Root Port 2 -> PCIe Speed was set to Gen4.

Issue continued. So just in case I tool all three root ports to Gen4. Still no joy.

I ended up having to reset my bios and pull the machine off of the dock to get it up and running.

Quick question about behavior I’m seeing.

I do ensure the dock is turned on before turning on the pc. However when I turn on the PC the dock light and the graphics card turn off for a few seconds (I assume the PCIe bus is resetting) and then they come right back on. Is that expected behavior?

So I’m more and more leaning to it’s that reset of the PCI Bus/Expansion dock. This YouTube video shows what I’m describing.

EdVarzea Hi there,may I know have you changed the PCIe speed to Gen3?
Based on your description, this may be an issue with the docking station.
Does the machine function normally when not connected to the docking station?

The machine functions without issue off the dock and as I said it functions fine on the dock with a reset. it’s just on a cold boot. That is the only time I see that behavior.
