SER8 8745HS Linux headphone output issue

Hi there,
Is there any SER8 bios update to solve the headphone output issue with Linux?
HDMI output , bluetooth speakers working good but when using headphone output no sound at all with Linux.
Windows 11 works ok.

It works well for me with Ubuntu. I used 20.04 and now I have 24.10. at least front output but the sound level is very low, need to set max volume for reasonable sound

Even putting it to max volume is too low despite you put an EQ or maximizer plugin.
it’s obviously that doesn’t work properly.
Some people reported having that issue since they update their BIOS to the same one that I have in my SER8 8745HS.

Hi there,

Take a look to the first post Yu`ll see there my BIOS version, this issue affects to every Linux version, headphone output sound is too low and it happened since Beelink updated the BIOS to the last one.

Your BIOS version is already the latest, so you don’t need to update the BIOS version again.
Which version of linux are you using?

Is just Linux, making a search on the internet, here I attach a thread exposing the same. Someone of your crew said that there will be a BIOS update soon, it was on January 6.

Your bios version is already up to date, and there is currently no updated version.
May I ask have you tried other versions of Linux?

Yes I’ve tried Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.10, Zorin 17 and Fedora Silverblue, same behavior.

If it works in windows, pretty sure it is not a bios problem but a linux driver problem… try a recent distro like Linux MX AHS, once installed update kernel to latest using their MXPI tool and update all packages, just to check.

Also disable Fast Boot in BIOS
