No microphone detected on Linux SER5

It’s a brand new logitech headset with boom mike. The driver and HD audio controller are correctly set and not muted. Not quite sure what the AirPods firmware is needed for. OS is Linux Mint 21.3.

Update Audio Drivers: While Linux Mint generally has good support for drivers, ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. You can update the system and the drivers using the update manager or terminal commands to ensure everything is working correctly.

3.Please send us a picture of SN number and BIOS version .
So we would be able to know whether it is latest BIOS and send you files accordingly.
Here`s how to check your BIOS version:

Prese : Win + R ,
Type : msinfo32
Send us the screen.

Audacity shows the correct RealTek drivers but does not detect the microphone. All drivers are up to date according to Driver Manager.
BIOS version is in my first message:

BIOS has been successfully updated but that hasn’t solved the microphone issue.

just to make sure the port and your micro are both fine .

This is a Linux only PC. Mic does work on a separate Windows laptop. No worries, I am going to convert it to USB and see if that helps.

No luck with a USB mic either. All the RealTek drivers are there but no recorded sound.
