This is not a new problem apparently but I still can’t find a working solution anywhere. I have a SER5-PRO Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 5850U since November 23. The OS is Linux Mint and I have been very happy with it. Sound output has been fine. I have recently subscribed to an online language course and connected a Logitech H111 headset with boom mike via the 3,5 mm input. Sound output is fine but the microphone does not work at all. The jack is CTIA as needed. All audio drivers are showing up in settings as well as in Audacity. This Forum shows that there is a problem that needs to be sorted. Is it BIOS related, I don’t know. Sorry, it’s a 5800H, not 5850U

Check microphone permission: In system settings, check whether microphone access permissions have been granted. Select the correct input device: In the computer system settings, make sure your airpods is correctly selected as the microphone input device. Check the firmware of AirPods Pro 2: make sure that the firmware of AirPods Pro 2 has been updated to the latest version.

It’s a brand new logitech headset with boom mike. The driver and HD audio controller are correctly set and not muted. Not quite sure what the AirPods firmware is needed for. OS is Linux Mint 21.3.

No microphone detected on Linux SER5

Audacity shows the correct RealTek drivers but does not detect the microphone. All drivers are up to date according to Driver Manager.

This is a Linux only PC. Mic does work on a separate Windows laptop. No worries, I am going to convert it to USB and see if that helps.

No luck with a USB mic either. All the RealTek drivers are there but no recorded sound.

I have finally resorted to a full reinstall of Linux Mint. The microphone still does not work. I have a second Linux machine (Nipogi) and the mike works fine with that. It seems that this is a known issue with the Beelink SER5 as there are other members with the same problem.
