Hi, Im using GTI14 185H with latest BIOS 201. How do I update the “anx7406(2024-11-13)_2024-11-14_8-06-32” via usb? I have followed the instructions document but it wont boot from the USB to update?

narumivtl You should simply enter the BIOS using the DEL key when booting and in the BOOT section select simply Launch EFI Shell and then enter the command: FS0: where FS0 - your usb flash drive

vitasonline Took me a while to figure it out, it was the last EFI selection as you said. Anyways I have updated and finally! my USB C portable monitor now works with a single cable!!! so happy!

I followed the instructions for “anx7406(2024-11-13)_2024-11-14_8-06-32.zip” but it does not load anything it keeps bouncing back to choose boot drive screen. How do I get this to work? In the future all of these update should be available to be completed inside windows instead of bios screen. Most users would not be capable of completing the instructions.

my secure boot is off my usb is loaded just like the the pic “lud14” posted, I’ve tried what I could understand in the video with fs3 and ls and all I keep getting is “is not recognized as an internal or external command…”

That “fs3:” seems to have worked so far. The thunderbolt port opened up and all connected is working again.

Well al worked great yesterday, I shutdown a few times restarted a few times throughout the day just making sure all was well, and it was until this morning. This morning the thunderbolt port isn’t working again after shutting down over night.

dahjah Hi there, Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply and other USB devices, then put the pin in the CMOS pinhole and press it for about 10 seconds , restart the PC after ten minutes.

It appears the EFI USB Device option is not appearing. Try to see if the USB drive is properly formatted, that USB boot is turned on in the BIOS, and try resetting or updating the BIOS. Let me know if that works!

If you get these errors, your Thunderbolt chip does not need to be updated. You have the latest firmware!
I tried to reinstall the same firmware and got exactly the same errors 3 and 7.

Hi support1, Please explain why you named the HUB firmware Thunderbolt firmware?
This firmware New–Thunderbolt-firmware–ASM2307MPTool_v2013.zip has nothing to do with Thunderbolt.
ASM2307 is a USB hub chip and HUB Firmware Solve the problem of high power consumption during shutdown and hibernation. After the update, turning on the fast startup function in the system will not affect power consumption.
Also, this firmware ASM2307MPTool_v2013_2024-08-26_5-37-12.zip has long been available on the Chinese Support site since 2024-08-26 and has nothing to do with Thunderbolt.

This new firmware has something to do with the thunderbolt. Some users have issue when they use the thunderbolt, such as blue screen . After updating this firmware, it can solve the problem. And you are right that this firmware also solve the problem of high power consumption during shutdown and hibernation. I name it new compare with the old one GTI14-Thunderbolt-Firmware-update-tutorial-.doc, which cannot solve the blue screen issue when connecting to the thunderbolt port.
